Summary
This study looked at two ways to monitor brain activity during gynecological surgery to help doctors give the right amount of anesthesia and pain medicine. One method gives a single number, while the other shows a detailed color map of brain waves. Researchers wanted to see if the detailed map helps use less medication. The study involved 45 adults having gynecological cancer surgery.
