Brain wave device could calm kids waking from surgery

NCT ID NCT07243990

Summary

This study is testing if using a special brain-wave monitor during surgery helps reduce agitation when children wake up from anesthesia. Researchers will compare 80 healthy children aged 6-12 who have the monitor used to those who do not. The goal is to see if better monitoring of the brain's 'sleep' state leads to a calmer, less distressed recovery.
