Summary
This study is testing a new, non-invasive device that uses light to monitor oxygen levels and energy use in a newborn's brain. Researchers want to see if this device can help doctors better monitor babies at risk of brain injury from low oxygen during birth. The goal is to see if this information can help optimize the cooling therapy used to protect the brain and improve long-term outcomes for these infants.
