New trial aims to improve brain tumor control with smarter radiation timing

NCT ID NCT07329634

First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving radiation before surgery (neoadjuvant SRS) works better than radiation alone in multiple doses for people with large brain metastases. About 98 adults with tumors between 2.5 and 6 cm will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The goal is to see which approach reduces the chance of tumor regrowth, radiation injury, or spread of cancer in the brain.
