Brain mapping tech aims to sharpen cancer radiation, protect movement

NCT ID NCT07415668

Summary

This study is testing whether a special brain mapping technique can help doctors plan radiation therapy more precisely for patients who have had a brain tumor near the area that controls movement removed. The goal is to focus the radiation dose on any remaining cancer cells while reducing exposure to healthy brain tissue responsible for movement. Researchers will compare standard radiation plans to plans adjusted using the new mapping data to see if it leads to better movement outcomes and tumor control.
