Scientists test new brain scanner against standard MRI

NCT ID NCT07222865

Summary

This study aimed to test a new brain imaging method called transcranial functional ultrasound (tFUS) by comparing it to standard MRI scans. Healthy volunteers would perform simple tasks while being scanned by both machines. The goal was to see if the new ultrasound method could detect brain activity as well as an MRI, but the study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
