Can simple brain exercises help obese adults avoid dangerous falls?

NCT ID NCT06587932

Summary

This study tested whether adding 'brain gym' exercises to standard balance training could help obese adults reduce their risk of falling, improve their balance, and enhance their quality of life. Thirty-two obese adults were split into two groups: one did brain gym plus balance exercises, while the other did balance exercises alone, three times a week for eight weeks. Researchers measured changes in fall risk, static and dynamic balance, and quality of life to see if the brain exercises made a difference.
