New brain implant shows promise against deadly recurrent cancer

NCT ID NCT07349693

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a new implant called Cerebraca Wafer to standard chemotherapy helps people with recurrent glioblastoma, a serious brain cancer, live longer. The trial will compare two groups: one receiving the wafer implant plus chemotherapy after surgery, and another receiving only chemotherapy. Researchers aim to enroll 175 adults whose cancer has returned after initial treatment, to see if the combination approach improves survival and delays cancer progression.
