New brain scanner aims to replace risky trips to CT machine

NCT ID NCT07324421

Summary

This study is testing a new portable ultrasound device called SYLVER that measures blood flow in the brain at a patient's bedside. Researchers want to see if its measurements are as accurate as the standard CT perfusion scan, which requires moving critically ill patients. The goal is to provide safer, more frequent monitoring for patients in the ICU with brain injuries or bleeding.
