New procedure aims to stop dangerous brain clots from returning

NCT ID NCT07214623

Summary

This study is testing a minimally invasive procedure to treat chronic subdural hematoma, which is a blood clot on the brain's surface. The goal is to see if this procedure can effectively drain the clot and prevent it from coming back, reducing the need for more invasive surgery. Researchers will enroll 200 adults who have a symptomatic clot that requires treatment.
