Can retraining the brain unfreeze a painful shoulder?
NCT ID NCT05372497
Summary
This study tested if adding brain-focused therapy to standard shoulder exercises helps people with frozen shoulder recover faster. 48 adults with long-lasting shoulder pain and stiffness received either standard physiotherapy alone or physiotherapy plus special training to change how their brain processes pain signals. The goal was to see if the combined approach better reduced pain, fear of movement, and improved shoulder function over four weeks.
