Could a simple cuff trick your nervous system into better balance?

NCT ID NCT06860464

Summary

This study aims to understand how a simple, non-invasive treatment called remote ischemic conditioning (using a blood pressure cuff on the arm or leg) affects the spinal cord and nervous system. Researchers will test 30 healthy young adults to see if this cuff treatment, when combined with balance training, changes how the spinal cord responds and improves balance more than training alone. The goal is to learn more about how the nervous system adapts, which could later help people with neurological conditions.
