New brain vessel blocking treatment enters trial

Summary
This study is testing a new liquid embolic agent to see if it works as well as an existing treatment for brain arteriovenous malformations (AVMs). About 116 adults with specific types of brain AVMs will be enrolled. The goal is to see if the new agent can safely and effectively block the abnormal blood vessels by at least 50% and help patients maintain good function over a year.
