Summary

This study tested a new medical device called the Pipeline Shield to treat people with recently ruptured brain aneurysms who couldn't have standard surgery. The device is placed inside the blood vessel to block blood flow to the aneurysm and prevent re-bleeding. The trial was terminated early and enrolled 25 adults with specific types of aneurysms.
