New device aims to seal off dangerous brain bulges

NCT ID NCT07339358

Summary

This study is testing the safety and performance of a new medical device called the World Diverter. The device is designed to treat certain types of brain aneurysms, which are bulges in a blood vessel. Doctors will implant the device to divert blood flow away from the aneurysm, aiming to seal it off and prevent it from rupturing. The study will follow 72 participants for a year to see how well the device works and monitor for any complications.
