New device aims to seal off dangerous brain bulges

NCT ID NCT05543447

Summary

This study is collecting information on the safety and effectiveness of a device called DERIVO® 2heal®. The device is designed to treat brain aneurysms, which are weak bulges in brain arteries. Doctors place the device inside the artery to divert blood flow away from the aneurysm, helping it to seal off and prevent rupture. The study will follow about 158 patients in Germany for up to a year after their procedure.
