New brain aneurysm coil aims for better, faster treatment

NCT ID NCT07464847

Summary

This study is testing a new type of medical coil called the Penumbra PC400 for treating medium and large brain aneurysms. It will follow 100 adults to see how well the coil seals off the aneurysm and prevents dangerous complications like stroke or re-bleeding over 18 months. The goal is to gather strong evidence on whether this new coil design is a safe and effective long-term treatment option.
