New coil device tested to seal off dangerous brain bulges
NCT ID NCT03642821
Summary
This study observed how well a device called the OPTIMA coil system works for treating brain aneurysms. It followed 300 patients in Europe to check the safety of the procedure and see how effectively the coils blocked the aneurysm. Researchers tracked patients' recovery and any complications for up to one year after treatment.
