Summary
This first-in-human study tested the safety of a new expandable coil device for treating brain aneurysms. Thirteen adults with medium to large brain aneurysms received the experimental coil treatment. Doctors monitored patients for serious complications and checked how well the coils blocked blood flow into the aneurysm.
