First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study aimed to find out whether creating a dialysis blood vessel connection (AV fistula) in one surgery or two separate surgeries leads to better outcomes for patients with kidney failure. Only two patients were enrolled before the study was stopped, so no clear conclusions can be drawn. The goal was to measure how well the fistula worked for dialysis and how it affected quality of life.
