Smart bracelet fights compulsive hair pulling
NCT ID NCT07224126
Summary
This study is testing a smart bracelet and app designed to help adults with trichotillomania, a condition where people feel a strong urge to pull out their hair. For eight weeks, participants wear the bracelet, which first learns their habits and then sends gentle vibration alerts when it predicts a pulling urge might happen. The goal is to see if this technology is easy to use and helps people gain more control over their hair-pulling behavior.
