Researchers seek to create calculator to predict prostate surgery outcomes

NCT ID NCT07277556

Summary

This study aims to identify which pre-surgery tests and measurements can best predict whether a common prostate surgery (TURP) will successfully relieve urinary symptoms in men with enlarged prostate (BPH). Researchers will collect standard medical information from 200 men before and after their surgery to see which factors correlate with good outcomes. The goal is to develop a calculator that helps doctors and patients make better-informed decisions about whether surgery is likely to help.
