Experimental peptide aims to get injured athletes back in the game faster
NCT ID NCT07437547
Summary
This study is testing whether an investigational medication called BPC-157 can help heal moderate hamstring muscle tears more quickly. About 120 adults with recent, MRI-confirmed hamstring injuries will receive either the medication or a placebo injection for 14 days, along with standard physical therapy. Researchers will measure how fast participants can return to sports and track healing on follow-up MRI scans.
