NCT ID NCT06911749

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study tests a new, radiation-free way to measure how long it takes for food to move through the intestines of children with chronic constipation or similar bowel disorders. About 20 children and a small group of healthy adults will drink a special dye and then be scanned using light-and-sound imaging (MSOT) and MRI. The goal is to see if these methods can replace X-rays and help doctors better target treatments like nerve stimulation.
