Capsule camera study aims to find gentler bowel prep
NCT ID NCT07206329
Summary
This study aimed to find out which of two low-volume bowel preparation solutions works better for people having a capsule endoscopy—a test where you swallow a small camera pill. Researchers compared a 1-liter liquid solution (PEG-Asc) to a powder mixed with water (SPMC) in 220 adults. The main goals were to see which prep cleaned the bowel more effectively for clear pictures and which was easier for patients to tolerate.
