New combo pill tested against common meds for painful bloating and gas

NCT ID NCT05175131

Summary

This study tested whether a combination pill containing two medications (mebeverine and simethicone) works better than taking each medication alone for reducing abdominal pain and bloating in people with functional bowel disorders. 465 adults with recurring symptoms participated in this 4-week trial. Researchers compared the combination pill against two separate, commonly used medications to see which provided better relief.
