Could a common surgery prep be causing brain fog?
NCT ID NCT05942404
Summary
This study looked at whether the standard bowel cleansing done before colon surgery might be linked to memory and thinking problems after the operation. Researchers followed 84 patients having elective colorectal surgery. They measured specific chemicals in the blood and gave memory tests before surgery and again 15 and 90 days later to see if there was a connection.
