New culturally sensitive test aims to boost bowel cancer screening in south asian community
NCT ID NCT07376694
Summary
This study aims to see if a specially designed, culturally tailored bowel cancer screening kit can encourage more South Asian adults in Bradford to complete their screening. Over 2,300 people registered at local GP practices will be randomly assigned to receive either the standard NHS screening kit or an enhanced kit with easier-to-use tools and instructions in multiple languages. The goal is to find better ways to overcome specific cultural and practical barriers to screening, helping to detect cancer earlier and save lives in communities where current uptake is low.
