Scientists Fine-Tune lifesaving botulism treatment for kids

NCT ID NCT02051062

Summary

This study aims to verify that the current recommended dose of a botulism antitoxin (BAT) is correct for children. It involves up to 10 children under 12 years old who are receiving the antitoxin for a confirmed or suspected botulism exposure. Researchers will take a few small blood samples to measure how the medicine moves through a child's body and will monitor for any safety issues for 30 days.
