Needle vs knife: new trial tests simpler fix for Kids' crossed eyes
NCT ID NCT07470164
Summary
This study is comparing two treatments for moderate childhood crossed eyes (esotropia). Researchers want to see if a simple botulinum toxin (Botox) injection works as well as traditional eye muscle surgery to properly align the eyes. The trial will enroll 244 children and teens to determine if the less invasive injection could reduce risks, lower costs, and improve access to care.
