Prostate surgery plus botox injection beats pills for bladder symptoms

Summary

This study looked at 70 men with an enlarged prostate and overactive bladder symptoms. Some received a botulinum toxin injection into the prostate during surgery, while others took standard medications after surgery. The injection group had better symptom relief 12 weeks after the procedure, as measured by several bladder symptom questionnaires.
