Does Long-Term botox for teeth grinding change your jaw muscle?
NCT ID NCT07266064
Summary
This study looked at whether repeated Botox injections used to treat sleep teeth grinding cause fat to build up in the jaw muscle over time. 27 adults with sleep teeth grinding received Botox injections every six months and had ultrasound scans of their jaw muscles before each treatment. Researchers tracked changes over two years to see if long-term Botox use is safe for the muscle structure.
