Could a common treatment for stiff legs increase fall risk? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07108920

Summary

This study aims to understand if Botox injections, a standard treatment for stiff leg walking (stiff knee gait) after conditions like stroke or multiple sclerosis, affect a person's balance and risk of falling. Researchers will observe 15 patients, measuring their balance and mobility using simple tests before and after they receive the Botox injection. The goal is to gather safety information to help doctors and patients make better-informed treatment decisions.
