New botox strategy tested for debilitating facial condition
NCT ID NCT07295288
Summary
This study is testing if adding Botox injections to jaw and temple muscles improves treatment for a condition called facial synkinesis. People with this condition have involuntary, uncoordinated facial movements after a nerve injury. In the study, 50 participants will try their standard Botox treatment and then try the same treatment plus extra injections in the jaw muscles to see which works better.
