NCT ID NCT06698497
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to encourage COVID-19 vaccinations: sharing local wastewater surveillance data with communities. Researchers selected 40 counties in New York, sending 20 of them a communications campaign based on local virus levels found in sewage. They then compared vaccination rates between the two groups to see if the information made a difference. The goal was to see if personalized, local data could motivate people to get vaccinated.
