Dental x-rays could reveal hidden signs of gum disease

NCT ID NCT07209579

Summary

This study looked at whether standard dental X-rays can show differences in jawbone quality between people with gum disease and healthy people. Researchers analyzed 120 existing X-rays using special computer measurements to compare bone patterns. The goal was to see if these X-rays could become a better tool for spotting gum disease early.
