New bone filler could fight stubborn infections after surgery
NCT ID NCT07270380
Summary
This study is testing whether a special bone filler containing antibiotics (called Genex G) helps treat and prevent the return of chronic bone infections in arms and legs. All 139 participants will have surgery to clean out the infected bone and receive the antibiotic filler, then be followed for 2 years. The main goal is to see if this approach successfully clears the infection so patients don't need more antibiotics or surgery a year later.
