New pill aims to shield bones from cancer treatment damage

NCT ID NCT07256769

Summary

This study is testing if a special combination of vitamin K, a milk protein (α-lactalbumin), and a sugar-like compound (D-chiro-inositol) can better protect bone health in women with breast cancer. These women are taking hormone-blocking drugs that can weaken bones. Researchers will compare this new supplement blend against the standard treatment of just calcium and vitamin D to see which one is more effective at keeping bones strong.
