New study tests better bone-building methods for dental implants

Summary

This study compares three methods to rebuild lost bone in the lower jaw before placing dental implants. Seventy-eight adults will receive one of three techniques using either their own bone, animal-derived bone plates, or human donor bone plates. The goal is to see which method works best for increasing jawbone width, with follow-up up to 12 months.
