Cow bone vs. nature: the race to rebuild jaws

NCT ID NCT06749158

Summary

This study tested two methods for healing jawbone defects left after removing cysts. One group received a graft made from processed cow bone, while the other group's bone was allowed to heal on its own. Researchers measured how well and how densely the bone grew back over six months in 44 patients.
