First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study looked at two different methods to build up bone in the back part of the lower jaw before placing dental implants. 37 adults with not enough jawbone width took part. After 6 months of healing, the researchers checked how well the bone grafts worked by looking at tissue samples and measuring bone width. The goal was to find out which method gives better results for implant success.
