New bone graft tested to speed recovery from neck surgery

NCT ID NCT00942045

Summary

This study tested a bone graft product called Osteocel Plus in people having neck surgery for severe, painful disc disease. Doctors used it during a common fusion procedure to see how well and how quickly it helped the bones grow together. Researchers followed 182 patients for two years after surgery to measure fusion success and recovery, comparing results to older methods.
