Glue instead of screws: new fix for skull bones

NCT ID NCT07452549

Not yet recruiting Disease control Sponsor: RevBio Source: ClinicalTrials.gov ↗

Summary

This study is testing a new type of bone glue called TETRANITE to see if it works as well as traditional metal plates and screws for reattaching a piece of skull bone after brain surgery. About 204 adults needing this type of surgery will be randomly assigned to get either the new glue or the standard metal hardware. Researchers will check how securely the bone piece stays in place and monitor for any safety issues over one year.
