Summary
This study tested a special device placed inside the mouth to help grow new bone and close wide gaps in the upper jaw (alveolar clefts) in 8 patients aged 7 to 20. The device slowly moves bone to fill the gap, aiming to avoid the need for multiple surgeries. Researchers measured changes in the cleft size, tooth movement, and bone health after treatment.
