Can fixing a hormone save bones in kidney patients?

NCT ID NCT07171216

Summary

This study is testing whether treating high levels of parathyroid hormone (PTH) can improve bone density and other health measures in people with chronic kidney disease. About 70 participants will be assigned to either receive treatment to lower their PTH or to follow standard care. The main goal is to see if this treatment helps strengthen bones, which could lower the risk of fractures.
