New study aims to predict jawbone healing after tooth removal

NCT ID NCT06624982

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at how the jawbone changes right after a tooth is pulled and a bone graft is placed. Researchers want to see if the bone expands or stays the same right after extraction, and how that affects bone width and height four months later. The goal is to better understand healing and improve future dental procedures. The study will involve 160 adults in good health who need a single tooth extraction with bone grafting.
