Gentler cement tested to mend broken backs

NCT ID NCT05676320

Summary

This study is testing whether adding a special softener to the bone cement used to treat painful spinal fractures is safe and works as well as the standard cement. About 200 adults with osteoporosis-related spinal fractures will receive the standard injection or the new softer version. Researchers will track pain levels, new fractures, and daily function for up to two years to see if the softer cement helps.
