Summary
This study looked back at the long-term results of a specific ear surgery for otosclerosis, a condition causing hearing loss. Researchers examined whether using a material called bone cement during the procedure led to better and more lasting hearing improvements for patients. They reviewed records and re-examined 73 adults who had the surgery years earlier to see how their hearing held up over time.
