First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This observational study will follow 150 adults with early-stage bladder cancer to see if factors like muscle loss, fat distribution, and nutrition affect the chance of cancer coming back or getting worse. Participants will have standard treatments and extra assessments including CT scans and questionnaires. The goal is to find better ways to predict individual risk.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

What this could lead to

If successful, this could help doctors better predict which patients are at higher risk of bladder cancer returning or worsening, leading to more personalized follow-up care.

What could go wrong

This is an observational study, not a treatment trial, so it won't directly improve outcomes. Results may show associations but not prove cause and effect.
