Could tuning into your body help tackle sleep apnea?

NCT ID NCT07743892

First seen Aug 04, 2026 · Last updated Aug 05, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether how well people with obstructive sleep apnea notice and interpret body signals is linked to their breathing, fatigue, shortness of breath, and sleep quality. Researchers will measure body awareness with a questionnaire and compare it with lung function tests and sleep metrics in about 47 participants. The goal is to better understand the role body awareness may play in managing this chronic condition.

If a link is found, it could point toward body-awareness training as a supportive tool for managing sleep apnea symptoms.
What could go wrong
This is a small observational study, so any connections found may not apply to everyone with sleep apnea. It does not test a treatment.
